About Me

I was born and raised in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire and can communicate fluently in both Welsh and English, as such I am happy and confident to conduct services in either languages and/or bilingually.

I have lived in Mold, Flintshire for over forty years with my family, husband Gareth and two children Sara and Tomos, now a grandmother to Wil and Lili.

I worked for thirty years in the field of learning disability nursing supporting, caring and advocating on behalf of individuals with learning disability and autism. The source of my passion coming from the fact that I have the personal experience of having had a brother with a learning disability and autism.

I then had the opportunity to work as the Director for Inclusion for ‘Mudiad Meithrin’ (Early Years Specialist) for ten years and found this a wonderful opportunity to support staff, families and young children with additional needs, across Wales.

Latterly I worked as a Practice Education Facilitator for nurse students in the field of learning disability and mental health at Bangor University.

During retirement, I have worked as an independent advisor and trainer in the field of learning disability, autism and inclusion and as a part time Chaplain for the Betsi Cadwaladr NHS Trust.

I recently studied for an MA in “Interfaith Studies” and this has increased my understanding of various faiths, enriching my belief in the importance of inclusion and respect.

Now as a Funeral and Wedding Celebrant I will ensure everyone receives the best possible service they would wish for and maintain sincerity, compassion, inclusion, confidentiality and professionalism always.

My previous roles have involved travelling across Wales and so I would be able to travel any distance to support a family for any occasion as a Funeral or Wedding Celebrant.

I love the outdoors, swimming in the sea, body boarding and walking – not as fit as I would like to be but working on it!
